Guests are always welcome to visit Great Olney Toastmasters meetings. In fact, most of our members were guests first and then decided to join after their second or third visit. Guests are welcome to participate in our meeting by answering Table Topics questions or providing feedback at the meeting wrap up. Participation is entirely voluntary, but we'd love to hear what you have to say! Members and club officers will be available before and after the meeting to answer any questions you may have and provide you with membership materials. Come see what the "Greater" is all about.
To become an official member, you need to fill out a membership form and pay club dues. Dues will vary depending on the month that you join. The club treasurer can give you more information on exact cost.
Your membership information will be entered into Toastmasters International website so that they can track your progress through the program and ship you a new member kit. Each kit includes:
- The Communication and Leadership Manual
- Effective Speech Evaluation
- Your Speaking Voice
- Gestures: Your body speaks
You will also receive Toastmasters monthly magazine, a colorful periodical filled with great stories and advice, as well as organizational news. This magazine is truely international, with contributions from members around the world.
